A delegation of Uzbekistan’s oil depot managers and industry specialists is studying the experience of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in managing the supply, storage and distribution of petroleum products, as well as the retail sale of fuel.
This is stated in a press release from ‘Uzbekneftegaz’.
According to the information, the delegation visited the SOCAR Downstream office, where the specialists familiarised themselves with the organisation of the entire supply chain — from the transport and storage of petroleum products to their delivery to consumers.
Presentations were also given on fuel sales, customer relationship management and state regulation of the sector.
In addition, the delegation visited the Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery, where they were shown how the production control centre operates. The experts also examined quality control procedures in an internationally accredited laboratory.
At the oil depot, located 11 kilometres from the refinery, the delegation observed the processes of receiving, storing and dispatching petroleum products.
The delegation also visited two petrol stations and the SOCAR Petroleum oil depot. The experts paid particular attention to operational processes, including customer service, compliance with safety requirements and accounting systems. They also exchanged views with Azerbaijani experts and received answers to technical questions.
