Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan have agreed to strengthen their bilateral cooperation by increasing the volume of freight train reception and dispatch and introducing additional services for customers. These agreements were reflected in documents signed during a meeting between Uzbekistan Railways JSC, led by Chairman Zufar Narzullaev, and a delegation headed by Kazakhstan Temir Zholy Production Director Baurzhan Urinbasarov on November 15, 2025. The sides noted that the bilateral trade turnover reached $3.5 billion between January and September 2025, marking a 16 percent year-on-year increase. Reflecting growing confidence, 1,157 enterprises with Kazakhstani capital successfully operate in Uzbekistan. These agreements aim to accelerate regional economic integration in Central Asia, enhancing the efficiency of international trade and logistics operations.
