Nikolaos Tzifakis (PhD, Lancaster University) is an Associate Professor of International Relations at the Department of Political Science and International Relations of the University of the Peloponnese, and Research Associate with the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies. His research focuses on international relations theory, EU external policies and the Balkans. His publications include articles published in journals such as Cambridge Review of International Affairs, Conflict Security & Development, Ethnopolitics, European Foreign Affairs Review, Global Society, International Journal, Journal of Southern Europe and the Balkans, Problems of Post-Communism, and Southeast European and Black Sea Studies. In 2008, he received (together with Asteris Huliaras) the Marcel Cadieux Distinguished Writing Award by the Canadian International Council. He recently co-edited (with Florian Bieber) The Western Balkans in the World: Linkages and Relations with Non-Western Countries (Routledge, 2020).
