Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Samir Sharifov met today with Maria Amparo Lopez Senovilla, State Secretary for Trade at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business of the Kingdom of Spain. During the meeting, the importance of holding the first meeting of the Strategic Economic Dialogue between the two countries in Baku was emphasized.
The parties noted that the organization of the Azerbaijan-Spain Business Forum and the signing of the “Memorandum of Understanding on Strategic Economic Cooperation” between the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business of Spain will further strengthen economic ties between the two countries. Samir Sharifov emphasized that the meeting between President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez in November last year at the COP29 was of great importance in terms of expanding bilateral relations and identifying new areas of cooperation.
