In response to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s claim that China and Qatar were using AI and social media to impose an “information blockade” on Israel, the Chinese Embassy in Israel strongly rejected the remarks as baseless, harmful to bilateral ties, and unacceptable. The embassy stressed that the international community broadly supports a ceasefire in Gaza, noting that Israel needs wisdom and diplomacy rather than prolonged warfare. China emphasized that while Israel’s security concerns must be respected, Palestinians’ rights to survival, statehood, and development must also be realized. Urging Israel to halt military operations and agree to a lasting ceasefire, China reiterated its hope for regional peace and expressed readiness to work with the global community to promote stability and prosperity in the Middle East.
