On August 17, 2025, China launched the Shiyan-28B 02 test satellite from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Sichuan Province aboard a Long March-4C rocket. The launch took place at 4:55 p.m. (Beijing Time), and the satellite successfully entered its preset orbit. Shiyan-28B 02 will be mainly used for space environment exploration and technology tests. This marks the 589th mission of the Long March rocket series.
