On August 16, a telephone conversation took place between Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha. The Ukrainian side congratulated Azerbaijan on the agreements reached during the President of Azerbaijan’s visit to the United States and on the progress made in normalizing relations between Baku and Yerevan. The ministers discussed cooperation in political, economic, energy, transport, and humanitarian fields, highlighting the importance of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation. Ukraine expressed gratitude for Azerbaijan’s humanitarian assistance and support in reconstruction efforts in conflict-affected areas. Sybiha also provided updates on negotiations regarding the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
