The Armenian government has denied information published on the Spanish portal Periodista Digital about the existence of an agreement between Yerevan and Washington regarding a memorandum concerning the Zangezur corridor, Report informs via Armenian media.
The government also called this news “a manifestation of manipulative propaganda.”
“This disinformation material was published on a website of dubious origin, Periodista Digital, which has been repeatedly criticized for using fake personas and spreading manipulative and unfounded materials,” the government statement says.
It notes that the article has nothing to do with reality.
Earlier, Periodista Digital, citing its sources, wrote that Armenia had agreed to the US proposal to create the Zangezur corridor. According to the publication, a 42-kilometer section of the Zangezur corridor, which will pass through the territory of Armenia, will be managed by an American private company.
