State support for Kazakhstan’s agricultural sector has increased more than sevenfold over the past three years, Report informs referring to 24KZ.
Funding for the sector has increased from 140 billion tenge (almost $304 million) in 2023 to 1 trillion tenge (almost $2.2 billion) in 2025.
Particular attention is being paid to ensuring the availability of funds for sowing and harvesting campaigns.
This year, approximately 750 billion tenge has been allocated for the preferential lending program.
Just over 5,500 farmers have already received funding.
Agricultural machinery is also being upgraded, with preferential leasing funding reaching 350 billion tenge.
Since the beginning of the year, funding has been approved for the purchase of almost 8,000 units of equipment.
