Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his great pleasure at meeting Russian President Vladimir Putin during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit held in Tianjin, China. Posting on social media platform X, Modi wrote, “Always a delight to meet President Putin!” He also shared photos of his conversation with Putin, as well as with Chinese President Xi Jinping, noting that his interactions in Tianjin were continuing and that he was exchanging views with world leaders during the SCO Summit.
In addition to his meetings with Putin and Xi, Modi also held talks with the presidents of Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan, as well as with the prime minister of Armenia. These discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations, fostering regional cooperation, and advancing economic partnerships. Modi’s engagements highlight India’s active role in strengthening multilateral diplomacy within the SCO framework while also deepening its bilateral ties with regional partners. His series of meetings in Tianjin underscores New Delhi’s commitment to expanding its influence and building stronger political and economic connections across Eurasia.
