During an official visit to Armenia, Georgian Interior Minister Sulkhan Tamazashvili met with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
According to Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, the meeting was also attended by First Deputy Interior Minister Roni Meskhi and Armenian Interior Minister Arpine Sargsyan.
The sides reviewed the close cooperation between Georgia and Armenia and underscored the importance of the strong and friendly relations between the two countries.
Particular attention was paid to the productive cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of Georgia and Armenia, as well as their joint efforts to combat crime effectively.
The parties also discussed the regional situation and reaffirmed the strategic importance of maintaining peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Tamazashvili thanked Pashinyan for the meeting and reaffirmed the Georgian side’s readiness to continue active cooperation with Armenia across various areas, the ministry said.
