Kazakh Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev and EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas discussed energy cooperation and the development of energy supply infrastructure during a phone call, the Kazakhstan Foreign Ministry said, according to Report.
As part of discussions on agreements reached following Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s visit to Brussels on June 23, the sides considered current issues on the bilateral agenda, expanding trade and economic ties, promising areas of cooperation, as well as the schedule of upcoming bilateral and multilateral contacts.
“Particular attention was paid to cooperation in the energy sector and prospects for further development of international energy supply infrastructure, including within the framework of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC),” the statement said.
The interlocutors reaffirmed their interest in further strengthening the partnership and expressed their mutual commitment to expanding promising areas of cooperation.
