Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the importance of deep processing of raw materials in the country. Three major oil refineries in Atyrau, Pavlodar, and Shymkent have been modernized, ensuring the domestic market is supplied with high-quality fuel. Around 13 million people now have access to natural gas. A new gas processing plant in Kashagan and the second line of the Beyneu–Bozoy–Shymkent pipeline are under construction. Large petrochemical projects producing high-value products are being launched, including a polyethylene plant developed with foreign investors (over $7 billion investment). Major offshore fields such as Kalamkas-Sea and Khazar are being developed (over $6 billion investment), with platforms built at domestic shipyards. All these projects aim to strengthen Kazakhstan’s energy potential and promote economic growth.
