Kyrgyzstan and the UAE discussed cooperation in the field of security and visa-free travel

The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaliyev, held a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior of the UAE, Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, according to a statement from the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Trend reports.

The parties noted successful cooperation in the field of security, including the fight against transnational organised crime, as well as financial and digital crimes.

In this context, the Kyrgyz side expressed interest in studying the UAE’s best practices in the field of digitalisation of law enforcement agencies and the introduction of intelligent crime monitoring and prevention systems.

In addition, Adylbek Kasymaliyev requested that the possibility of introducing a visa-free regime for Kyrgyz citizens entering the UAE be considered.

For his part, Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasised the close contacts between the leaders of the two countries and noted that the UAE considers Kyrgyzstan a friendly state. He assured that he would instruct the relevant departments to study the issue of a visa-free regime for Kyrgyz citizens, as well as the possibility of sending Emirati security specialists to Kyrgyzstan to exchange experience.
