Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has invited US President Donald Trump to visit Uzbekistan on an official visit at a mutually convenient time, according to the Uzbek president’s office following a phone call between the two leaders.
Report informs that the two presidents highlighted the unprecedented level of US-Uzbek relations and the steady implementation of agreements reached at the highest level.
They also praised the growing bilateral cooperation in areas including the economy, investment, civil aviation and energy.
Mirziyoyev and Trump discussed international issues, stressing the importance of continued efforts to strengthen global security and achieve the peaceful resolution of international and regional conflicts.
The two leaders also reviewed the schedule of upcoming bilateral and multilateral events, after which Mirziyoyev reiterated his invitation for Trump to visit Uzbekistan on an official trip.
