Kazakhstan’s GDP grew by 4.1% in January–July 2026, the country’s government press service said, citing preliminary data from the Bureau of National Statistics.
According to Report’s Kazakhstan bureau, the non-oil sector provided the main support for the economy, growing by 5.4% over the seven-month period.
The Ministry of National Economy, for its part, noted that GDP growth remained steady despite declining oil production and volatility in global markets.
In particular, Kazakhstan’s oil production fell by 8.9% year-on-year in January–July to 53.2 million tons.
In 2025, Kazakhstan produced approximately 99.6 million tons of oil. Oil production for 2026 is planned at 98 million tons.
