Mongolia and Turkey have agreed to cooperate in defense technologies, personnel training, and the development of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). During a meeting on October 29 between Mongolian Defense Minister Batlut Damba and Ibrahim Ufuk Kayanak, head of the Turkey-Mongolia parliamentary group, it was emphasized that relations have reached the level of a “strategic partnership.” A small-scale ammunition factory opened in Mongolia last month was highlighted as an example of successful cooperation. The Turkish side noted significant potential, particularly in the fields of UAVs, technology exchange, and personnel training. It was also confirmed that Turkey’s “Financial Assistance and Support Program” for Mongolia’s defense sector will continue from 2026.
