Within the framework of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian’s visit to Tajikistan, 20 cooperation documents will be signed between the two countries.
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi told local media on Wednesday, Trend reported.
According to him, the documents concern such spheres as trade, investment, water and electrical engineering, technical engineering services, transport, tourism, university studies and others.
Araghchi noted that discussions on the settlement of these documents have been underway for several years.
The Iranian minister said there are regional consultations between Iran and Tajikistan. The Eurasian region is an important region and economic cooperation with Central Asian countries is at the centre of Iran’s attention.
It should be noted that Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian will pay a visit to Tajikistan today (15 January). A number of events are planned within the framework of the two-day visit. A large delegation will accompany the Iranian President on the trip. The Iranian president will then visit Russia on 17 January.
