A number of major projects involving leading French companies are expected to be implemented in the coming years.

This was reported to Trend by a source in the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan.

“In particular, TotalEnergies will continue its work in the field of renewable energy, including the construction of solar and wind power plants. Eiffage is considering participation in infrastructure projects related to the modernisation of transport and the urban environment. EDF plans to expand cooperation in the field of energy systems and energy efficiency. Alstom will continue its projects in the railway industry, including the supply and maintenance of rolling stock. Airbus is interested in developing cooperation in the field of civil aviation, including technical maintenance and personnel training.

As for the scale, timing and financial parameters of the projects, some of the initiatives are still being worked out and agreed upon. Nevertheless, we can already talk about large-scale investments designed for the medium term (3-5 years) and involving the active participation of both government agencies and the private sector,” added the ministry representative.
