The Pentagon has announced the signing of a 20-year contract with RTX Corporation, the world’s largest manufacturer of weapons and aerospace systems, worth up to $50 billion.
According to Report, citing foreign media, this was stated in a Pentagon statement.
‘RTX Corporation (Arlington, Virginia) has been awarded a framework contract with a maximum value of up to $50 billion for the supply of RTX systems and end products, spare parts, services and other types of support, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract,’ the statement said.
It is specified that work under the contract will be carried out both within the continental United States and abroad.
‘This is a 20-year contract with no option periods… The contract completion date is 31 July 2045,’ the US Department of Defence added.
The customers for this contract are the US Army, the Defense Logistics Agency, and the US Department of Defense.
