Russian President Vladimir Putin and Kazakh leader Kassym-Jomart Tokayev are scheduled to hold official talks at the Kremlin on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. The discussions, part of Tokayev’s two-day highest-status state visit, will focus on economic, political, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation, as well as key regional and global issues. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov indicated that Putin may brief Tokayev on developments at the front and the peace process in Ukraine, and that Moscow is interested in the results of Tokayev’s recent talks with US President Donald Trump, provided the Kazakh leader wishes to disclose them. A number of mutual cooperation documents and a joint address to the 21st Russia-Kazakhstan Interregional Cooperation Forum on Aerospace Forces are being prepared for signing during the visit.
