On the occasion of the 107th anniversary of the establishment of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Kyrgyz Republic organised a solemn reception in honour of Independence Day.
Members of the Kyrgyz Parliament, prominent political and public figures of Kyrgyzstan, ambassadors of diplomatic missions in Bishkek, representatives of business, international organisations, scientific circles, culture and art, and the Azerbaijani diaspora came to congratulate the friendly Azerbaijani people on this great holiday. The reception began with the national anthems of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kyrgyz Republic.
As noted by Latif Gandilov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan, there are many glorious pages in the history of Azerbaijan, and one of the most important is the Independence Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which is celebrated on 28 May. In his speech, the ambassador emphasised that the reality of modern Azerbaijan and the preservation of the country’s independence are linked to the name of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev. Today, this line is being confidently implemented by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.
According to MOLIT Deputy Director Gang In Suk, grant funding of $40 million is planned for these initiatives.
