Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and the leaders of five Central Asian countries gathered in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, for the first-ever “Italy-Central Asia Summit.” The summit was attended by the leaders of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.

Discussions focused on political relations, investment opportunities, energy cooperation, and logistics projects. At the end of the summit, dozens of agreements were signed, and the parties reached a consensus on establishing strategic partnerships and implementing multi-sector projects.
