Russian troops strike Ukrainian army units by glide bombs in Donetsk region

On August 18, Russia’s Defense Ministry announced that its forces carried out airstrikes on temporary deployment sites of Ukrainian units in the Donetsk People’s Republic, specifically in Mirnograd and Ivanopolye. According to the statement, reconnaissance identified these sites, and Russian forces struck them using FAB-3000 and FAB-500 glide bombs with guidance modules. In Mirnograd, a direct hit destroyed the temporary base of Ukraine’s 15th operational brigade of the National Guard, while in Ivanopolye, several strikes eliminated the deployment sites of the Ukrainian army’s 100th separate motorized infantry brigade. The ministry added that live-recorded footage confirmed the destruction of the enemy facilities.
