Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin will visit China on August 25–26 to attend the 10th China-Russia Interparliamentary Cooperation Committee meeting. The agenda includes expanding cooperation in economy, security, culture, education, tourism, and science, as well as countering sanctions, resisting external interference, strengthening trade, defending historical truth, and promoting youth exchanges. The visit takes place ahead of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit (August 31–September 1 in Tianjin) and China’s September 3 commemoration of the 80th anniversary of victory in World War II. Analysts note that the trip aims to deepen both economic and historical dimensions of China-Russia relations.
