Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Nurlan Yermekbayev plans to pay official visits to Central Asian countries in March 2025. According to information obtained by Trend from SCO sources, Yermekbayev’s visit program includes Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
Yermekbayev will visit Uzbekistan on March 4-7, Tajikistan on March 14-15 and Kyrgyzstan on March 17-19. During the visits, the SCO Secretary General will meet with the countries’ leaders and foreign policy institutions. He will also participate in round tables at leading political science centers and take part in various public events. In January and February 2025, Nurlan Yermekbayev paid official visits to Russia, Belarus and India. These visits are considered part of SCO’s efforts to strengthen regional and international cooperation.
