The President of Uzbekistan to pay a working visit to Russia

The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, is to pay a working visit to St Petersburg.

According to Trend, this was announced in a statement by the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.

According to the information, the visit will take place at the invitation of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, on 4–5 June.

It is reported that Shavkat Mirziyoyev will take part in and address the plenary session of the 29th St Petersburg International Economic Forum, which will be held under the slogan ‘Pragmatic Dialogue – The Path to a Stable Future’.

The President of Uzbekistan will share his views on the global economic situation and the prospects for the development of Uzbek-Russian economic cooperation, as well as outline the country’s current development priorities.

The visit will also include a meeting with the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, as well as participation in the ceremony marking the start of construction of the country’s first integrated nuclear power plant.
