Ukraine and Estonia have signed a joint declaration on strengthening cooperation in the fields of security and defence. According to Report, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on social media following a meeting with Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal.

“Today, our countries have also taken an important step forward: a joint declaration on strengthening cooperation in the fields of security and defence has been signed. The document sets out areas of cooperation such as the exchange of expertise, collaboration in the defence industry and in the field of air defence. We are also continuing work on an agreement under the Drone Deal framework,” he wrote.

Zelenskyy thanked Estonia for its support and noted Tallinn’s contribution to the PURL programme. He also informed the Estonian side of Ukraine’s current needs.
