Uzbekistan and China are expanding their cooperation in industrial collaboration and public procurement

Uzbekistan’s Agency for Industrial Cooperation and Public Procurement held talks with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the country. The focus of the discussions was on the prospects for deepening cooperation in the fields of industrial cooperation and the public procurement system. 

During the meeting, representatives of the Agency briefed the Chinese delegation on the key areas of its work, the Agency’s remit and the reforms currently underway aimed at modernising the mechanisms for industrial cooperation and public procurement. Particular emphasis was placed on the strategic objectives for the development of the public procurement system up to 2030. 

The parties also discussed opportunities for engaging international experts and consultants, implementing programmes for the exchange of expertise, organising joint seminars and training events, and conducting a comprehensive analysis of public procurement and industrial cooperation systems, taking into account international best practice.
