Uzbekistan and Hungary explored opportunities for further expanding cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector, including in the areas of attracting investment, introducing modern technologies and implementing joint projects.

It is reported that on 8 September, József Roža, Hungary’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Abdullah Azizov, Director of the Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry.
During his visit, the Hungarian diplomat familiarised himself with the work of the Agency, the Pharmaceutical Technical University and the BioPharma City pharmaceutical cluster. Industry representatives spoke about the projects currently being implemented within the cluster and provided information on plans for its further development.
In addition, the ambassador met with pupils from the Abu Ali ibn Sino Specialised School. During the discussion, the pupils shared their interests in science and spoke about their plans for the future.
The talks focused on the further development of Uzbek-Hungarian cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector. The parties discussed prospects for attracting investment, introducing cutting-edge technologies and implementing joint initiatives.
