Uzbekistan and Portugal are strengthening cooperation in trade and investment

Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, held a meeting with his Portuguese counterpart, Paulo Rangel, Trend reports.

According to reports, during the talks the parties discussed opportunities to deepen bilateral cooperation, intensify political dialogue, and expand cooperation in the trade, economic and investment spheres.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on the implementation of joint projects in priority areas, including the agro-industrial sector, infrastructure, green energy, tourism, transport, and the cultural and humanitarian sphere.

A Memorandum of Understanding was also signed between the foreign ministries, providing for the exchange of information and the study of best practices.

The document is intended to contribute to the strengthening of institutional interaction and the creation of effective mechanisms for cooperation between the two countries.
