Mirziyoyev and Tokayev attended an artificial intelligence hackathon in Bukhara

Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited the National AI Hackathon, a nationwide hackathon on artificial intelligence, which is taking place at the Bukhara Universal Sports Complex, Trend reports.

According to the report, the event was organised as part of the policy to develop an artificial intelligence ecosystem in Uzbekistan, implemented on the initiative of the head of state.

The heads of state were presented with the results of work in the field of digitalisation and the implementation of AI technologies. In particular, areas of digital transformation were demonstrated, including ‘Digital Government’ systems, as well as solutions for transport, customs, taxation, healthcare, social protection, energy, geology, construction and agriculture.

It was noted that the digitalisation of these sectors contributes to improving the efficiency of public administration and the quality of life of the population.

A presentation was also given on the start-up support ecosystem in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. The heads of state were briefed on a number of promising projects, including KPI-COM, OSON, DATOX and others, and spoke with their representatives.

In addition, information was provided on the activities of national and international accelerators, including UZUM, TBC Bank, Aloqa Bank, HUMO and UZCARD.
