Uzbekistan and Germany aim to strengthen investment ties

On 10 April, at the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan, a meeting took place between Deputy Minister Akram Aliyev and Malika Akramova, Director General of the German Chamber of Foreign Trade in Uzbekistan, and Noebjon Akhmadzhonov, Director of the German-Uzbek Economic Cooperation Office, Trend reports.

According to the report, during the talks, the participants discussed the current state of trade, economic and investment relations between Uzbekistan and Germany, as well as the prospects for their further development. Particular attention was paid to attracting German companies to implement joint projects in priority sectors of the economy.

The parties also reviewed preparations for the 10th meeting of the German-Uzbek Business Council, during which ‘German Economy Days’ are scheduled to take place in Tashkent. The participants confirmed their mutual interest in expanding business contacts and strengthening the partnership.
