Uzbekistan and Serbia agree to expand business cooperation

On 19 February, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan held talks with Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Andrej Mesarovic, Trend reports.

According to the information, during the meeting, the participants discussed the prospects for expanding cooperation between the business communities of the two countries and agreed to give additional impetus to joint initiatives in the fields of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, food and textile industries.

Special attention was paid to the initiative to establish a Trade House of Uzbekistan in Belgrade and a Trade House of Serbia in Uzbekistan. These structures are designed to ensure the systematic promotion of products and contribute to the growth of mutual trade.

In addition, the parties agreed to hold a national exhibition ‘Made in Uzbekistan’ in Serbia, as well as to establish a regular format for B2B meetings between entrepreneurs of the two countries.

Following the negotiations, an agreement was signed on the formation of a Council of Business Circles under the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and Serbia.
