General Secretary of the Communist Party of Việt Nam Central Committee and President Tô Lâm, his wife, and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation left Paris late on September 11, concluding their successful official visit to France and attendance at the International Space Summit at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron.
At Orly Airport, the Vietnamese delegation was seen off by Eleonor Caroit, Minister Delegate for Francophonie, International Partnerships and French Nationals Abroad; French Ambassador to Việt Nam Olivier Brochet; and representatives of the Protocol Department of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
On the Vietnamese side were Vietnamese Ambassador to France Trịnh Đức Hải and his wife; Nguyễn Thị Vân Anh, Permanent Representative of Việt Nam to UNESCO; and officials and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in France.
During the visit, Party Secretary General and President Tô Lâm held talks with French President Emmanuel Macron and witnessed the exchange of cooperation documents between Việt Nam and France. He met the press ahead of his talks with President Macron, and met leaders of leading French and Vietnamese corporations and businesses. He also held meetings with French Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu, Senate President Gerard Larcher and Fabien Roussel, National Secretary of the French Communist Party.
