Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said the European Parliament comes begging to Azerbaijan when it needs gas and oil.
Report informs that he said this in a statement to journalists about his meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
“There was no need even to ask him [Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev], and I knew that he would suspend cooperation with the European Parliament. Because, you know, members of the European Parliament often behave arrogantly, so they lecture those who are more successful than them,” Vučić said.
Vučić also spoke about new aspects of future cooperation between Serbia and Azerbaijan and emphasized the importance of strengthening direct ties between the business communities of the two countries, promoting mutual investment and expanding cooperation on specific projects.
