ANKASAM President Prof. Dr. Mehmet Seyfettin Erol evaluated the decision of early presidential elections in Uzbekistan to Uzbekistan’s leading news agency Dunyo

Ankara Center for Crisis and Political Studies (ANKASAM) President Prof. Dr. Mehmet Seyfettin Erol’s views on Uzbekistan’s decision to hold early presidential elections were published in Dunyo, Uzbekistan’s leading news agency. Stating that Uzbekistan will gain a strong place in the international community in the coming period and that in this context, it has taken an important step towards building a strong state and society through a strong Constitution on the occasion of the referendum on April 30, 2023, Erol said, “With the Constitutional referendum, Uzbekistan has crossed an important threshold with the principle of “My Constitution-My State” and started another critical process in the construction of the New Uzbekistan. The election decision taken at this point shows that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev correctly understands and respects the will, decision and hopes of the citizens in the referendum.”
