Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Ceyhun Bayramov and Secretary-General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Feridun Sinirlioğlu held head-to-head and then delegation talks on April 25. Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry made a statement on the talks.
During the meeting, the current state and future of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the OSCE, regional security, the normalization process of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations and current developments in the OSCE geography were discussed. In particular, the OSCE’s fundamental principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity were highlighted, emphasizing that these principles form the basis for the restoration of trust and lasting peace. The sides also exchanged views on the OSCE’s adaptation to new international conditions, strengthening multilateralism and enhancing institutional responses to emerging threats. They also underscored the importance of maintaining dialogue and stability and expressed mutual determination to continue constructive cooperation that will contribute to regional peace.
