On July 2, Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov held a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of Afghanistan Abdul Ghani Beradar.
According to a statement made by the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan to the Trend agency, the importance of the 17th Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Summit held in Hankendi was emphasized during the meeting. It was noted that Azerbaijan has played an active role in various initiatives aimed at developing regional cooperation since joining the ECO in 1992. The parties stated that the economic, energy, and transportation projects led and participated in by Azerbaijan have benefited all ECO member countries. The meeting also discussed opportunities for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Afghanistan in the economic, commercial, transit, and humanitarian fields.
