A Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement has been signed between Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The agreement was signed at a ceremony held in Abu Dhabi with the participation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The “Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the United Arab Emirates” aims to further deepen economic relations between the two countries and strengthen strategic cooperation. The agreement is expected to offer comprehensive cooperation opportunities in areas such as trade liberalization, increased investment cooperation, sustainable development, energy, transportation, and the digital economy. This step underscores the strategic development of relations between Azerbaijan and the UAE and the parties’ long-term economic partnership goals.
