The possibilities for expanding economic and commercial relations between Azerbaijan and Algeria were evaluated. According to a statement made by the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO), a meeting was held at AZPROMO with Zakia Igil, Algeria’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, AZPROMO Executive Director Yusif Abdullayev provided information about the agency’s activities. Ambassador Zakia Igil, on the other hand, made statements regarding the work of relevant institutions in Algeria and her country’s economic priorities. The meeting highlighted the key role of the energy sector in the economies of both countries, emphasizing that Azerbaijan and Algeria have recently placed special importance on diversifying energy sources and developing the renewable energy sector. The meeting also discussed opportunities to expand economic and commercial relations between the two countries. The parties stated that they plan to develop cooperation in sectors of mutual interest and implement various initiatives in this regard.
