As part of a business visit by a delegation from AzerGold CJSC, led by Zakir Ibragimov, Chairman of the Management Board of AzerGold CJSC, to the Kyrgyz Republic, a meeting took place with Kubat Abdraimov, Chairman of the Management Board of Kyrgyzaltyn OJSC.
During the meeting, which took place in Bishkek, issues arising from the Memorandum of Cooperation and Interaction between ‘AzerGold’ CJSC and ‘Kyrgyzaltyn’ OJSC were discussed, which was signed on 31 July 2026 in the city of Cholpon-Ata during the third session of the Intergovernmental Council of Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan in the presence of the heads of both states.
Zakir Ibragimov noted that, thanks to the leadership of the heads of state and their political will, relations of friendship and brotherhood have been forged between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan, creating favourable conditions for the expansion of economic ties, including partnerships in the mining sector.
During the meeting, information was presented on ‘AzerGold’s’ experience in the fields of geological exploration, deposit assessment, and the extraction and processing of minerals. In addition, information was provided on geological exploration work being carried out in the territories of Azerbaijan’s Karabakh and East Zangezur economic regions, which have been liberated from occupation, as well as on the successful application of modern geological survey techniques, including aeromagnetic and electromagnetic surveys, and other non-invasive exploration methods.
