Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to the U.S., Khazar Ibrahim, in an interview with The Washington Examiner, described Donald Trump as a “true peacemaker.” He said Trump played a decisive role in the signing of the historic Joint Declaration between Azerbaijan and Armenia on August 8. The declaration lays the foundation for a future peace treaty and includes the creation of a U.S.-controlled corridor that will open new opportunities for both Armenia and Azerbaijan, while enabling direct trade links between Azerbaijan and its strategic partner Turkey. Ibrahim emphasized the Trump administration’s determination to bring peace and development to the region and beyond.
