Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, also a member of the CPC Political Bureau, visited Kabul to attend the sixth China-Afghanistan-Pakistan Foreign Ministers’ Dialogue, the firstsuch meeting held in Afghanistan since the Taliban takeover. The talks, coinciding with the upcoming SCO Tianjin Summit, focused on political, economic, and regional cooperation. Wang reaffirmed China’s support for Afghanistan’sindependence and development, stressing its role as a keypartner in regional integration. Discussions also highlightedsecurity cooperation, economic development, andAfghanistan’s potential inclusion in the Belt and Road andCPEC projects. Experts noted the meeting’s importance in improving Afghanistan-Pakistan ties and sending a positivesignal for regional stability. After Kabul, Wang will travel toPakistan for the sixth round of the China-Pakistan Strategic Dialogue, further strengthening the “all-weather” strategicpartnership between Beijing and Islamabad.
