Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will visit Europe next week. The purpose of the visit is to strengthen cooperation between China and the European Union, manage differences, and lay the political groundwork for future contacts between the two sides.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun announced at a regular press conference on Friday that Wang Yi will visit Brussels, Germany, and France during his European tour, which will begin on Monday and last until Sunday. Wang will visit EU institutions in Brussels and participate in the 13th round of the China-EU High-Level Strategic Dialogue. Guo said, “At a time when unprecedented changes are accelerating globally, and unilateralism, protectionism, and bullying are on the rise, major powers, markets, and civilizations such as China and the EU must be the cornerstones of stability and constructive dialogue.”
