In Yinchuan, the capital of China’s Ningxia region, the China-Arab States Tour Operators Matchmaking and Exchange Meeting was held as part of the 7th China-Arab States Expo. Around 300 guests from 28 countries and regions, including Jordan and Qatar, participated to discuss expanding cultural and tourism cooperation. Jordan’s ambassador to China, Hussam Al Husseini, emphasized tourism as a means of fostering dialogue and friendship. Ningxia officials highlighted the region’s role as a gateway for China-Arab tourism under the Belt and Road Initiative. At the meeting, 14 agreements worth 2.57 billion yuan (about 361 million USD) were signed, alongside the release of the China-Arab Tourism Index and 2025 Tourism Trend Analysis Report. The event also launched the Silk Road Culture and Tourism Bazaar, showcasing food, crafts, and cultural heritage from countries like Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Nepal, as well as Chinese regions such as Shanxi, Sichuan, and Ningxia. Delegates will also tour Ningxia’s Yellow River cultural sites, desert destinations, and wineries to explore business opportunities.
