Croatia and Azerbaijan Expand Cultural Cooperation

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Culture Adil Kerimli met with Croatia’s Minister of Culture and Media Nina Obuljen Koržinek in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. According to a statement made by the Azerbaijan Ministry of Culture to Trend Life, the meeting focused on the current cultural relations between the two countries and the prospects for their future development.

Minister Nina Obuljen Koržinek stated that cooperation between Croatia and Azerbaijan has been successful in all areas and expressed her belief that the visit of the Azerbaijani delegation will give new momentum to the deepening of relations between the two countries. Azerbaijani Minister of Culture Adil Kerimli thanked the Croatian side for the warm welcome and emphasized that the sincere and friendly relations established at the level of the leaders of the two countries form a solid foundation for the expansion of cultural cooperation. During the meeting, it was stated that the main purpose of the visit was to contribute to the implementation of the agreements reached at the third meeting of the Azerbaijan-Croatia Joint Intergovernmental Economic Cooperation Commission held in Baku on March 13, 2024. The parties also engaged in comprehensive discussions on developing cooperation in areas such as culture and creative industries, cinema, music, and the preservation and restoration of cultural heritage. Concrete cooperation initiatives, including the organization of joint education programs and workshops, and increasing direct contacts between experts and relevant institutions from both countries, were discussed.
