An important telephone conversation took place between Iranian Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzade and Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov. According to a statement from the Iranian Defense Ministry, the conversation focused on measures to be taken against external interventions targeting Iran and recent regional developments.
Aziz Nasirzade emphasized that Iran would never leave threats to its sovereignty unanswered, stating, “Iran has decided to punish those who attack its territory by any means necessary.” The conversation took place immediately after Iran launched a large-scale missile attack on US bases.
