In Pakistan, Turkmen Ambassador Atajan Movlamov and Austrian Ambassador Wolfgang Oliver Kutscher discussed the TAPI (Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan–India) and TAP (Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan) gas pipeline projects. Both sides emphasized their importance for Turkmenistan’s export diversification strategy and for enhancing regional energy security. The talks also touched on Turkmenistan’s geopolitical strategy, including its policy of neutrality, fostering friendly relations with neighboring countries, and promoting mutually beneficial cooperation. TAPI is designed to transport 33 billion cubic meters of gas annually, while TAP has similar strategic goals. Turkmenistan is the main gas supplier and a central player in both projects.
