Kazakhstan and the UK have reaffirmed their commitment to further cooperation

A meeting took place in Astana between Serik Zhumangarin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Lord Anas Sarwar, UK Minister of State for Trade.

According to a statement from the press office of the Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation, emphasising the importance of further strengthening the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and the UK.

Serik Zhumangarin noted that Kazakhstan regards the UK as an important and reliable strategic partner. He said that the visit by the British delegation gives new impetus to bilateral relations and creates opportunities for moving towards the practical implementation of the agreements reached.

Lord Anas Sarwar, UK Minister of State for Trade, emphasised the reciprocal nature of the partnership and expressed the UK’s readiness to deepen cooperation with Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their interest in continuing an open and constructive dialogue and working together to implement priority areas of cooperation.
